HISTORY
Biodiversity Conservation Foundation (BCF), organisation was established in the year of Biodiversity, 2010. BCF has been nurtured by Thiru. M.Arumugam., (Late) an ardent lover of nature and who believes in its power and energy which keeps this world more alive. We are inspired by his words and belief on the integrity and diversity of life on earth. For more than a decade before the bloom of BCF we have been implementing our ideas on conservation of wildlife and natural resources. With the establishment of BCF we extended our work to create awareness among people to live in harmony with nature. BCF also have plans to conserve the diversity of forests through field based research activities and awareness that would encourage proactive action for conservation of wildlife and wild habitats.
SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS.

Anamalai gained his significance as a potential tiger habitat and declared as Anamalai Tiger Reserve based on Dr. A. Kumaraguru's research work on estimation of tiger population
-
Dr. A. Kumaraguru's field based research on tiger population estimation supported by DNA based methodology on Sathyamangalam Forest Division helped to conclude the number of male and female tigers on this landscape along with their occupancy index. Our pioneer research on this landscape paved way for the declaration of this forest division as Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve.
